POL 051: The Scientific Study of Politics

Welcome to The Scientific Study of Politics!

Data is everywhere in our world, especially in politics. Policymakers to journalists to NGOs, and so many others use data to inform our world and make decisions. We use data to make arguments to support claims such as policies that can improve or worsen our lives.

This undergraduate course is focused on building the skills and knowledge on how to conduct data analysis and how to think causally about the political world. We will cover topics in political data science, causal inference, and uncertainty.
